Fake news, extremist narratives and radicalisation. All linked and all come together to pose a risk to our youth. There is now a legal duty on schools to embed fundamental values of democracy the rule of law, individual liberty, and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.
Embedding these values, developing critical thinking skills and building awareness of extremism all contribute towards developing a youth that is more resilient and a community that is more cohesive and tolerant of one another.
The Become The Voice secondary school package tackles fake news; how narratives shape the way we perceive and relate to the world; extremist narratives and how they are developed, spread and the effect they have on our communities and us as individuals.
Either package can also be used effectively to reach the same goals within community groups. Please get in touch if you have any questions!
